	<title>Bus Safety</title>
	<description>
Welcome to bus safety!
We are glad that you have decided to join us for our hour on bus safety! In the US the car is the most popular mode of transport for most people. In the rest of the world the most commonly used mode of transport is the bus and train. In small compact cities, it is time consuming and frustrating to use a car. Buses in many cities around the world have an express bus lane. Additionally using a bus is much cheaper than maintaining a car.

Some people, sick of soaring gas prices and the cost of keeping a car, are opting to travel around by bus. This being so, bus safety has gained much attention.

Concerns for bus safety
One concern for bus safety is that nobody wears seat belts and often, when buses are busy, people have to stand. If the bus stops quickly and you are standing near the front of the bus you could possibly go through the windshield or certainly injure yourself by taking a nasty tumble.

Another concern for bus safety is bus crime. There have been several fatal shootings and many thefts reported on buses recently. Bus drivers are powerless to help victims and can actually be at great risk themselves. there has been talk of hiring security guards to patrol buses but financially struggling bus companies simply can't afford to hire a guard in the name of bus safety.

These are the two main safety concerns for people traveling by bus. It is up the bus companies and the government to address these concerns and take action.

When road rage incidences and crimes on public modes of transport happen and are reported, there is a heightened concern over travel safety. Each mode of transport has it's own pros and cons and we must not panic unduly when we do hear a report of an accident. Most of us travel somewhere on a daily basis. We cannot avoid danger by walking either as you can get attacked or hit by a car.

Just take all the necessary precautions and try not to let worry get the better of you. Just keep things in perspective. Bus safety tips are always a welcome thing. Read as many a bus safety tip as possible.
