Hello folks and welcome to our talk magazine show: 'travel safety'. Today we are going to talk about all things to do with safe travel. Here at 'travel safety' we recognize that most of us travel varying distances every day. You may just pop to the store, or maybe you commute long distances to work on a daily basis. As most of us use a car every day, car safety will be at the top of our list of topics to discuss today. As many of you may be planning to travel by plane to see family and friends over christmas, we will also be looking at airplane safety. So join us and see if you are following the right steps to make your travel safe.

Travel safety tips

Here at 'travel safety' we take safety very seriously and we are here to offer advice!

Car safety: This is the most popular mode of transport for most of us. Whether your car is new or old there are several safety considerations that should be made. Make sure you have your car serviced regularly. This is very important as it will keep your car in could working condition but also it will make your car more reliable and less likely to break down or have an accident. Make sure that you regularly check your tires, especially if you live in an extreme weather place. Always carry a charged, cell phone. It is worth having road side assistance, it could really save the day and save you money in the long run. Obviously, you should always endeavor to be a safe and careful driver, and never drink before getting behind the wheel. If you plan to go out for a night on the tiles, make travel arrangements!

Airplane safety: Since 911, the topic of air safety has taken on a whole new meaning. Obviously, travel safety when flying is out of our hands up to a point. However, avoiding any health complications when flying is our responsibility. If you think you fall into the 'at risk' category, get a thorough check up from the doctor. When flying, keep your body hydrated and avoid alcohol. Move around as much as you can. If you have children, child safety will be a concern to you. Make sure you have everything you need to attend to the needs of your children.
