Local Fire Safety Week Events

During fire safety week, which occurs every year during the week of October 9th, there are various fire safety week events that are going on in many towns and cities throughout the United States. Fire Safety, or Fire Prevention, Week is a time dedicated to the national fire safety educational campaign. The main objective of fire safety week events is to provide a fun and interesting way to learn all about the many facets of fire safety. Many of us do not pay attention to some of the hazards in and around the home and being reminded of what to look for is one of the best forms of prevention.

The best thing to do to find the fire safety week events that are going on in your area, is to do a search online. Most fire departments and city halls have there own websites on the Internet now and are easily accessed by using the name of your hometown as the search word. Because the weather this time of the year is pleasant in most of the country many fire safety week events take place outdoors, making it a great way to spend a weekend day out with the whole family. Most fire safety week events take people of all age levels into account and so no one will be left out. Even your smallest ones can learn from fun fire safety characters.

"Use candles with Care... When you go out, Blow Out" is this year's theme for Fire Prevention Week, as designated by the National Fire Protection Association, and you can expect just a few of these events to be taking place in your area:
